I am a part of the Grind Hard nation. I am the Queen of preaching heart and hustle.
But let me tell you more about the little piece that is rarely talked about yet THE MOST important and that is personal growth.
–>Yep, the wacky I don’t need that book it’s for people who are messed up stuff.
–>Yep that audio where they have you repeating after them and speaking positive affirmations.
–>Yep that seminar with all the people yelling, jumping up and down getting riled up
and most definitely
–>Yep sitting in silence with the Good Book yapping it up with the Lord about anything and everything.
I have been there, done that and continue to do it.
Success is an inside job. It has less to do with external circumstances and EVERYTHING to do with who you are on the inside.
You can have all of the money in the world and still be an internal bonafide mess with a bad marriage and kids who don’t know you. That isn’t success, that’s just rich.
You can have 1.5 million followers on social media but if your real life is a mess that isn’t success you are just popular.
You can have the most well groomed, well-behaved kid at the school but if your kid secretly hates you, it isn’t success ya’ll just got good at pretending.
Real success comes with real personal growth, real prayers, real relationships and real self worth. When you work on you harder than you work on anything else the right opportunities and situations will manifest themselves.
I’m not just talking about grabbing cute quotes from instagram. I’m talking about doing real self work. You can’t skip it and you can’t rush it. You can try to fake it, but eventually the truth will come to light.
It’s a never ending task. It can be arduous and down right painful.
But we gotta do it ya’ll. We have to dig deep. We have to nurture our inner man.
When we work on us, we become better at everything else and for everyone else by default.
So in the midst of the grind don’t forget to add in some time to take care of your secret weapon that lives between your ears.
